ABOUT ME

Sameera Hassan is a Somali-American storyteller and humanitarian with a deep focus on community, culture, and society.

Communications strategist and entrepreneur dedicated to driving impact and innovation through meaningful narratives and sustainable regenerative development.

Having lived and worked in seven cities & traveled to over 30 countries, I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of the intersections between community, culture, & society.

My professional background spans pharmacy, health promotion, education, project management, strategic communications, and media. From health promotion in the rural villages of northern Belize as a Peace Corps volunteer, to communications and advocacy for digital health at the World Health Organization in Geneva, I have developed a broad and nuanced perspective on global health and development.

At a pivotal moment in my career, I founded Chronicle Health — a creative social impact platform and strategic advisory firm that centers storytelling to enhance inclusion and empower communities within global health and international development. Chronicle Health reflects my commitment to leveraging narrative as a powerful tool for sustainable change.

I hold an MSc in Public Health (Health Promotion) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BA in International Politics and World Affairs with a Certificate in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

LET’S shape something meaningful
